The board of Brim has confirmed the purchase of cod liver oil producer Lýsi for 20 billon ISK.
The purchase price will be paid in half in cash and the other half with shares in Brim.
Lýsi hf is the owner of Akraborg canning factory who remains the world‘s leading producer of canned Cod Liver.
The aquisiton by Brim will secure the supply of raw materials to the factory both for canned cod liver but also for the expanding production of canned pet foods.
