The Faroese Marine Research Institute – Havstofan, has advised a 10-20% reduction on permitted fishing days for the coming season.
This is because of low spawning stock numbers of cod. The numbers for haddock and saithe remain stable.
We wait to see how this will affect price of fresh and frozen cod products in the coming year.
