The Icelandic processing plants have begun to freeze the first capelin of the 2022 season. The catches are going well and the Icelandic plants are working on full output trying to keep up. As the capelin grows in size so will the volume landed for freezing increase. While the roe season is still a few weeks away the market is preparing for a very good season and expecting a record production of 15-20.000MT.
