Friðrik explains that we are having a very small season historically speaking. Now the boats have finished catching capelin for freezing whole round and the factories are beginning to process the capelin roes. From the total quota of the Icelandic boats about 23.000 MT were frozen whole round. The rest 46.000 will be used for roe processing.LVF has received about 4000 MT from Norwegian vessels and some additional 500 MT from their own boat Hoffell.
